Computer Safeguarding all computer equipment that is the property of First Step Action hardware and software are not compromised. All staff and volunteers must use the devices for authorised (line manager) activities only.
Confidentiality Policy Recognising that all employees' volunteers and trustees are privy and gain information about individuals or organisations throughout work or different activities. This information is not always labelled as 'confidential' therefore it is important to exercise discretion and common sense in assessing information.
Bullying & Harassment First step action deplores bullying and harassment recognising that harassment bullying or victimisation can exist in the workplace to the determent of employee's life and job performance.
Environmental Policy Here we recognise the impacts of climate change and are therefore committed to being environmentally responsible placing great importance in reducing the amount of energy and resources we consume as an organisation.

Data Management Policy for a Small Charity The data protection act covers both electronic records of individuals and manually filed records applying all organisations that keep such records containing personal data. Here at First Step Action work in accordance with the data protection act to protect service users and staff's personal data.
